Our Reveal Party for our BABY BEE!

If you aren't familiar with reveal parties, let me inform you that they are sooo much fun!  Reveal parties are given by the expecting parents to announce the gender of their baby.  My husband has a huge family (5 brothers and 1 sister) and I too have a big family.  This was a great excuse to get everyone together.  We had food, fun, and celebratory drinks!

How to plan a Gender Reveal Party:

1. Choose a Theme for the Party.  I chose a Baby Bee theme.
2. Create or order your invitations.
"What will it BEE?
Please buzz on over to our hive
and find out whether we are having
a Ba"bee" boy or girl!
Date and Time

"Bee" a honey and RSVP by Date
Phone Number

My husband designed our invites and they turned out super cute!
3. Choose a bakery and make a menu!  Elizabeth Johnson owns the Framin' Shoppe in Louisville, MS and she can do anything!  She baked our bee hive cake.  It was delicious and adorable!  We served finger foods on yellow plates and napkins, that I purchased at Wal-Mart.
4. When you go in for your sonogram, have your doctor or nurse either call your baker or put the gender of your baby in an envelope so that you can't see it.  This way your baker will know what color your cake should be!

This is our Bee Hive Cake the Elizabeth baked!

It's A BOY!!!! Poor daddy was in hopes of a girl!  Now he couldn't imagine his life without ELI!
