Sweet Friday Fall Owls

Hub's school allows for each child on the elementary side to have something called "Sweet Friday." Every Friday one student in each class brings a sweet treat for their classmates to enjoy.

I try to be creative when Eli and Hub's turn comes around to bring the Sweet Friday treat. For Hub, I did some searching online and found the cutest idea for these little Moon Pie Owls. Their faces are made of Moon Pies, the beak is candy corn, and their eyes are Oreo halves and M & M's. Of course, if you prefer Reese's Pieces to M & M's, you could substitute!

Sweet Friday Fall Owls

Ingredients:

Moon Pies
Candy Corn
M & M's
Mini Oreos
Chocolate Frosting

Instructions:

1. Split one mini Oreo in half, making sure that white cream is on both halves. Spread chocolate icing on the back of the Oreos and place them on the Moon Pie.

2. Ice the back of one piece of candy corn and place on the Moon Pie. This will be the owl's beak.

3. Dip two M & M candies in the chocolate frosting and place them on top of the Oreo halves.

4. Enjoy and share with friends!

Here is the video on exactly how to construct these delightful Moon Pie Owls.

Hub was super excited to share these yummy owls with his sweet friends at school! I wrapped each Moon Pie Owl in individual clear bags and tied them with cute ribbons.
